After several attempts to get our text legible, Gunhee managed to get our settings right to where the home page is finally ready for some editing. We still have the order page left to create and after that, we hope it will not be an uphill battle anymore. Today we will also meet Dr. Basham about the site so I hope we will make greater progress this week. Considering all the communication between us and her (or lack thereof) I am greatly looking forward to getting certain aspects and even visions on the same page.
Sorry, I'm not in a mood for a song today. Maybe next week.

Weekly update
This week we worked on developing the website and learning how to use Wordpress. I spent a lot of time watching tutorial videos on how to use it to design a webpage using its interface and organizational tools.
Additionally, we have scheduled another meeting with Melody to discussion the direction of the site and how she wants us to proceed in the upcoming weeks.

We are all getting excited about finally putting the pieces together. We assigned the designing and content of different pages to the team members. I started working on the general layout of my page, About Us.

Past Week's Work
I think we are finally getting on the right track for this project. We were able to get the Arium domain changed and the theme that our client chose installed into Wordpress. This past week, we worked on setting up the pages on our website, transferred old website content to the new site, and handed out individual assignments.
Tossed Logos and Scrambled Websites
Hey baby I hear the blues a'callin' Tossed Logos and Scrambled Websites
Not quite stylish.
And maybe I seem a bit confused. Yeah maybe, but we'll have this project pegged. Ha, ha, ha.
But I don't know what to do with those tossed logos and scrambled websites; need colors again...
(and that pretty much describes the state of our project).
Oh and if you're wondering, that's a take on Frasier's theme song, "Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs."
Goodnight Seattle!

Week March 17-23
This week we divided up the different pages of the website and began working on their basic design and development in word press.
We planned out the course of this sprint, in order to make up for lost time and optimize the amount of work we can complete on the website, in the hopes of finishing it by the end of our last sprint and being able to deliver a working website as our final product.

Changing Hosting Plan and creating Wordpress site
This past week, after working with 1&1 technical support, the team was finally able to create and launch the wordpress site for arium3d.com. We are working on installing the theme this week and migrating over the content to the new site. Once the content is migrated, we will continue to work on inputting new content (such as the shopping cart)
A Week of Rest
This past week I had been sick from some serious allergies. I was not able to do a whole lot for the website but we were also waiting for the hosting site to fully be published by 1 & 1. This week we will finally begin on the construction of the website (in which Arium-3D finally came with a "final" logo) so we know a little more about what they want for their site design.
See you next week...I hope.

Week 4/5 (spring break)
This week we sent off a final version of logo ideas and website header
versions, in order for them to be voted on. We got back a few new
suggestions for the direction they want to take, throwing out our
designs and giving us a whole new potential direction. Now have to
decide on the best option, and begin development of the actual website
architecture. We have a lot of work ahead of us after this break, but I
am confident we will be successful.

Professional Challenge- Attend IT/IS Professional Meeting
The first meeting I attended was on February 4th
with the Phoenix Scrum Users Group. The
presenter, Larry Apke, is a Scrum Master, agile coach, consultant, and software
development manager who has many years of experience in the IT field. The topic of his discussion was Complexity
Theory and why Waterfall Development works (sometimes).
Larry began his presentation with some background on
Waterfall Development and where it originated from. Winston Royce presented this development
methodology in a paper in 1970 but was it misunderstood. Royce said that this strategy was “risky and
invited failure.” However, it was soon
adopted by government agencies and became the new standard process for software
development in organizations all over.
Larry used the Cynefin Model to help describe why Waterfall doesn’t work
most of the time. One of the things this
model describes is the difference between things that are complex and those
that are complicated. Larry proposed
that most software development projects are complex but get approached as if
they are complicated and that’s why so many of them fail. Agile methodology should be used as the
default rather than waterfall.

Week 4
This week Jason and I met up with Dr. Basham to get her feedback on the work we had done so far. We edited the logos as per her suggestions and sent her the new ones. We also discussed the various themes and template she could choose from for her new website. This week we will definitely finalize the logo and the template and begin working on the skeletal structure of our website and insert some content on the template.

A Week of Review
This week was all about reviewing what happened in the last few weeks. Overall I must say that we have made some good progress with conceptualizing the new logo, site, and theme. Now much lies in the hands of Dr. Melody Basham who needs to preview and approve the concepts. Unfortunately, I won't be at the meeting as I barely had an hour of straight sleep and am very sick. I'm sure I'll hear from the rest of my teammates very soon.
Week 3
This past week, we worked on our Sprint 1 review, which went over the labels, storyboard, and website idea with the client. We are planning to meet with the client early this week as she was not available last week. Once we get approval from the client, we are hoping to create the website via WordPress and start migrating the content over.

Week 3
This week we created a presentation for our first sprint review. We plan to meet our client tomorrow to gain her feedback on what we have done so far, get some of our questions answered, and discuss how we plan to move forward with the project.
Week 3
This week we developed a presentation for our sprint review, as well as organized a meeting with our client in order to show the product we have made. We also continued working on logo designs and gathered more requirements and website logistical information from our client about their preferred url and hosting service.
Week 3
This week, I worked on the following:
- Updated OnTime
- Gathered more info from client
- Collaborated with team about logo development
- Worked with team to create small presentation for sprint review
